Abstract

The luxury fashion industry is transitioning to sustainability and conscious consumption, with artificial intelligence (AI) providing solutions for personalized luxury. AI enables demand-based production, optimizes inventory, prevents waste, and reduces returns through fit customization, thereby minimizing environmental impact. AI-driven personalization enhances consumer experiences with curated selections and custom designs, maintaining exclusivity responsibly. Furthermore, AI supports a circular economy by suggesting garment care, repair, and resale, extending product lifecycles and offering consumers a functional and ethical identity. AI, combined with blockchain, enhances transparency in sourcing and production, building trust and combating greenwashing. This AI-powered approach fosters “conscious luxury,” integrating sustainability into the core luxury experience while preserving brand values and advancing technological sophistication.
