Abstract

While there has been an increase in research on the well-being of teachers, the acknowledgment of numerous gaps is evident. To begin with, the majority of studies concentrate on student social-emotional learning, whereas teacher social-emotional well-being (SEWB) is a neglected area in terms of research and support. Additionally, the present interventions mainly focus on teachers' abilities to cope, and only a handful of studies discuss changes in the system and workload reduction. The chapter offers a comprehensive framework that brings together emotionally supportive structures, digital well-being tools, and systemic reforms to retain teachers in the workforce. Additionally, the chapter is a unique combination of psychological theories, school culture, and policy recommendations, providing a multi-level approach to address teachers' well-being. By connecting teacher SEWB, organizational structures, and mental health technologies, the chapter becomes an appropriate guide to address teacher retention.
