Abstract

Business schools face unprecedented AI disruption challenging traditional educational paradigms and competitive positioning. This chapter presents a strategic framework for AI transformation based on empirical analysis of 237 AI deployments across 42 higher education institutions. Our multi-factor disruption assessment reveals administrative processes (87%) and knowledge transmission (76%) face highest displacement risk, while executive mentorship (31%) and ethical reasoning (19%) remain human domains. The framework addresses five transformation domains: technology integration, AI-augmented curriculum, human-AI research ecosystems, organizational change, and ethical governance. Business schools implementing structured approaches achieve 73.8% superior outcomes and 68.4% improved efficiency versus ad-hoc adoption. We project four evolutionary phases (2025-2035) where traditional and AI-enhanced models coexist before hybrid ecosystems emerge, providing leaders actionable strategies for competitive relevance while preserving educational values.
