Abstract

Business schools are under growing pressure to align their teaching approaches to 21st-century competencies as artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the educational arena. This chapter investigates the extent to which AI tools support learner-centered approaches in business education. It theoretically examines how AI can drive pedagogical innovation by emphasizing its role in enhancing ethical awareness, critical thinking, and adaptability. Drawing on a qualitative study among Tunisian educators and students, the study examines perceptions, challenges, and opportunities linked to AI adoption. Findings reveal gaps in training, concerns about ethical use, and a mismatch between AI tools and learning outcomes. The study contributes original insights into how business schools in emerging contexts can design more effective and responsible AI-supported pedagogies. It also offers recommendations for curriculum design, faculty continuous development programs, and institutional accreditation, especially for institutions aspiring to meet international standards.
