Abstract

This chapter examines the employability of a higher education institution (HEI) graduates in the Philipines through employer feedback. Using using the mixed-convergent design with data from survey and focus group discussions with employers in the Philippines, Asia, and North America, the study identified key competencies valued in the workplace. Interpersonal skills, communication, and personal qualities such as integrity and professionalism were rated most essential, while gaps emerged in financial literacy, resource management, and advanced technology use. Proposed curricular enhancements include financial literacy workshops, cultural stewardship initiatives, and industry-based technology training. Findings highlight that these graduates demonstrate innovative leadership and cultural awareness but require continued exposure to global practices. By integrating industry feedback into curricular planning, HEIs strengthen their mission of producing competitive and ethical professionals who are equipped for the evolving global market.
