Abstract

This chapter examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on education and social interactions, highlighting both its opportunities and challenges. AI technologies, including intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, learning analytics, and generative tools, offer personalized support, enhance engagement, and improve accessibility for diverse learners. While these tools optimize learning and provide real-time feedback, risks include overreliance, algorithmic bias, and potential reduction in human social interaction. The chapter emphasizes the importance of ethical frameworks, human-centered design, and responsible integration of AI to complement rather than replace human judgment. Educators play a crucial role in guiding students to critically interpret AI outputs and ensuring equitable access to these technologies. Overall, the chapter provides insights into maximizing AI's benefits while mitigating risks, supporting meaningful learning, and fostering healthy social interactions.
