Abstract

The educational landscape is in a state of continual transformation, which brings both significant challenges and fresh opportunities, especially in the area of inclusive education. The Role of Teacher Educators in Advancing Inclusive Education explores how they respond to changing teaching demands, social pressures, and educational policies. This chapter offers a critical examination of the institutional, structural, and attitudinal obstacles that impede the effective implementation of inclusive practices. It particularly focuses on how teacher educators adapt their curricula and lesson plans to accommodate the diverse needs of their students. The chapter emphasises the important function of teacher educators as agents of change who not only exemplify inclusive principles but also influence the attitudes, commitments, and perceptions of pre-service teachers regarding inclusive education.
