Abstract

Rising poaching and illegal wildlife trade has been worrying people all over the world and is putting the survival of rare animals at risk. New technologies in AI are now helping to address the problems of wildlife protection and anti-poaching. It focuses on how AI-based devices, including surveillance cameras, face-recognition tools, geofencing applications, and threat-detection sensors are revolutionising the ways conservationist's work. Important topics are intelligent boundaries to guard habitat, AI systems to watch over endangered species, and liaisons with police for immediate action. Some case studies are presented to show how AI is used to tackle wildlife crime, especially showing how machine learning helps identify area where poaching occurs. Also, the study emphasises how getting local communities involved, paying attention to ethics, and collaborating with other nations help better implement AI-led conservation strategies. The research points out that by using AI technology, we can further support wildlife and help encourage sustainable conservation policies
