Abstract

The term “Precision medicine” indicates treatment customization for a particular subset of a population that displays contrast vulnerability towards a specific disease or medication. The understanding of disease mechanisms and responses to curative approaches has been hugely revolutionized by the current technological evolutions, which have facilitated enhanced quality profiling of tissues and cells. An overview of spatial and single-cell multi-omics technologies blending into the workflow of precision medicine is essential. It covers platforms of spatial and single-cell multi-omics technologies, computational perspectives, prime biological understandings achieved to date, challenges faced in data integration, and future prospects. Further it highlights application of these technologies for precision healthcare of several ailment aspects like oncology, immunology, neurology, infectious disease, and many. The aim lies in setting an assist to the interest of researchers and clinicians in the convergence of leading-edge multi-omics technologies and individualized tailored healthcare
