Abstract

The use of AI in the curriculum is an evolutionary change in the way knowledge is learnt, practised and conceptualised. With the rising diversity of classrooms and the increased demands of online learning as a result, AI appears an effective utility tool that can be used to process a significant amount of data and provide quick and individual feedback. In this chapter, the author presents a multi-faceted analysis of the influence of AI in education through the lenses of personalized learning, automated assessment, and teacher and student roles that are changing. It also goes into the issues of ethics, educational justice, and the essence of a humanistic, responsible attitude toward working with AI. The literature review gives an account of how AI in education has changed over the years and why it should be used sensibly with a thoughtful and assumed approach towards its use to save human essence. Finally, the chapter aims at striking a balance between innovativeness and inclusiveness when it comes to building the future of effective learning experiences.
