Abstract

This chapter proposes a novel framework for integrating Ethical Digital Twins into educational settings to simulate moral reasoning and ethical decision-making using artificial intelligence. The Ethical Digital Twin is an AI-powered virtual persona designed to mirror a student's or professional's ethical dispositions, enabling dynamic engagement with complex moral dilemmas in controlled virtual environments. The chapter will explore how these AI-driven simulations can foster ethical literacy, critical thinking, and digital responsibility. It will outline design principles for building ethical digital twins that respect privacy, ensure fairness, and minimize algorithmic bias. Further, we will present an implementation roadmap for educational institutions, including curriculum integration, teacher training, and policy recommendations. The chapter contributes to bridge conventional ethics instruction with AI-powered personalized learning, inspiring collaboration among educators, technologists, and policymakers to cultivate morally resilient, AI-literate generations
