Abstract

AI will revolutionize the process of drug development for immunological disorders by enhancing efficiency, precision, and scalability with discovery pipelines. AI-based models combine genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics to identify targets, optimize drug design, and speed up immunotherapy. Machine learning and deep learning algorithms enable virtual screening, molecular docking, and immune pathways modelling with improved predictive performance and reduced costs. Generative AI and GNNs enable de novo design of immunomodulatory molecules, while XAI improves interpretability and compliance with regulatory policy. Coupling with digital twins and multi-omics frameworks allow real-time modelling of immune dynamics and further advance immunotherapy. Ethical, regulatory, and translational considerations, leveraging data privacy, bias in algorithms, and sustainability, are critical for responsible implementation. Altogether, AI-driven strategies are transforming immunopharmacology to promote data-driven therapeutics, improve outcomes, and redefine paradigms in drug discovery.
