Abstract

This chapter explores the integration of generative text with geospatial data, focusing on OpenStreetMap (OSM) as a foundation for immersive, interactive narratives. It examines theoretical underpinnings of storytelling alongside computational techniques, including NLP and transformer-based models, to generate contextually rich and spatially grounded narratives. The chapter highlights practical applications in tourism, urban exploration, and cultural preservation, while addressing limitations and ethical considerations such as data accuracy, bias, and authorship. Future directions include multimodal, personalized, and community-driven narrative experiences, demonstrating the transformative potential of geospatially-informed storytelling.
