Abstract

Antibiotics have been essential in treating bacterial infections and assisting with life-saving medical procedures; however, the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria as a result of overuse of antibiotics presents serious problems. Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing precision medicine and drug discovery through quick compound screening, biological interaction modeling, and drug repurposing. Nanocarriers serve as advanced delivery platforms that address limitations of conventional therapies such as poor bioavailability, systemic toxicity, and inadequate penetration into complex infection sites like biofilms. By incorporating patient data, AI improves diagnostic capabilities and allows for customized treatment plans. The fusion of AI and nanobiotechnology promise enormous scope for tailoring antibiotic therapy to individuals and microbial types. To use these potentials to their full potential in the improvement of global health, scientists, physicians and policymakers must work and cooperate together in the future.
