Abstract

Social media's use in youth-led protests has changed how young people organize, mobilize, and voice their demands. Young activists may bypass conventional media, amplify their voices, and raise local and global political awareness using social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. This digital environment makes it easy to share information, organize campaigns in real time, and build support networks, which have been crucial to recent global movements. Despite social media platforms empowering teens by promoting political engagement and collective action, misinformation, digital inequities, and surveillance remain issues. This study examines how social media revitalizes young activism. It shows how social media can facilitate and complicate demonstrations.
