Abstract

In the rapidly changing business landscape after COVID-19, one of the most significant problems that emerged with the spread of remote working models has been presenteeism. Presenteeism refers to the inability of employees to perform their job productively despite being physically present at work. In the research, systematic content analysis was utilized to examine the effects of presenteeism in the remote working environment, and how artificial intelligence-driven decision-making algorithms can be used to solve this problem was evaluated. 42 research obtained from Web of Science, EBSCO, and Science Direct databases were analyzed within the framework of the PRISMA protocol. The findings indicate that technical efficiency-focused approaches alone are insufficient and that the integration of human-centered strategies and organizational culture is crucial for long-term success. In this context, the study suggests important implications for businesses to develop balanced artificial intelligence applications that take into account both the psychosocial health and performance of employees.
