Abstract

The globalization of healthcare underscores the importance of faculty and student mobility in nursing education, defined as movement across institutional and cultural boundaries to enhance learning, practice, and research. Such mobility fosters knowledge exchange, skill development, and cultural competence, vital for a globalized healthcare environment. Students gain adaptability and cross-cultural awareness, while faculty benefit from exposure to diverse pedagogies and research methods. Despite challenges such as financial, institutional, and cultural barriers, mobility strengthens professional growth, curriculum innovation, and global partnerships. It enhances clinical competence, research collaboration, and global health outcomes. With supportive policies, funding, and technology-enabled exchanges, mobility can develop a culturally competent, innovative, and globally engaged nursing workforce.
