Design of Interaction Mechanisms Using Tangible Interfaces, Augmented Reality, and Eye-Tracking for a UX Focused on Children With ASD
Abstract
The profile of children with ASD have difficulty interacting with conventional HCI methods. This work proposes to evaluate through eye-tracking the use of a UX focused on this profile through the design and development of mechanisms that use augmented reality and tangible interfaces. After an experimental deployment with a population of 7 children with different levels of support needs, it was possible to detect patterns among the children who had problems solving the activities. It is expected that these findings will allow a more schematic design using new technologies that will open the range of interaction methods.
