Abstract

This chapter examines the influence of regular physical activity on brain health and cognitive performance through the concept of exercise-induced neuroplasticity. It explains how physical exercise stimulates neural growth, enhances synaptic efficiency, and promotes functional brain reorganization, leading to improvements in attention, memory, and executive functions. The chapter further discusses the interaction between exercise, neurotransmitter regulation, and stress adaptation, emphasizing the importance of consistent physical activity for emotional balance and mental resilience. By comparing the effects of aerobic, resistance, and mindfulness-based exercises, the chapter concludes that structured physical activity serves as an effective, natural approach to enhancing mental performance and sustaining overall psychological well-being.
