Abstract

The manufacturing sector is adopting sustainable practices and clean energy, driven by green R&D in areas like energy efficiency and low-carbon technologies. Carbon pricing mechanisms, such as carbon taxes and emissions trading, are vital incentives that encourage faster green R&D and clean energy deployment by making carbon-intensive operations less profitable. These policies encourage corporations to invest in renewable energy, carbon capture, and energy-efficient systems, aligning profit with environmental responsibility. Effective carbon pricing requires predictable policies, consideration for disparities, and is enhanced by supportive measures like R&D tax credits and green financing, serving as a foundation for decarbonization and industrial transformation.
