Implementation of the iPad in a Spanish Early Childhood Education Classroom

English and ICTs are two elements that are very present today. Therefore, it is essential for children to acquire basic skills. This chapter analyses the presence of the iPad in an English language classroom within the Early Childhood Education curriculum, as well as the most used teaching methods. On the other hand, we also studied ICT resources that are useful for the stage we are concerned with and their advantages and disadvantages for pupils, teachers, schools, and the learning process. Given the existence of bilingual programmes in which English is used continuously and indirectly in the classroom, the use of ICTs as a tool for building knowledge and solving problems in the classroom is also considered. Therefore, this chapter presents a proposal for the implementation of iPads in an Early Childhood Education classroom, which includes a study of their use and various useful applications
