Abstract

This chapter examines how Islamic ethical principles can be integrated into modern social research. In a time of rapid technological progress and cultural diversity, researchers face complex ethical and methodological challenges. Core Islamic values such as Ijtihad (reasoning), Maslahah (public interest), Adl (justice), Amanah (trust), and Shura (consultation) provide a framework for integrity, accountability, and social responsibility. The chapter offers a model that connects these values with current research methods like participatory action research and digital inquiry, guiding Muslim scholars and institutions in embedding faith-based ethics within contemporary global research practices.
