Abstract

Plasma-based technologies are emerging as cutting-edge solutions in fostering eco-friendly production and sustainable industrial practices, offering exceptional abilities for circular economic solutions and sustainable eco-friendly pollution control. Using evidence-based assessment, it examines practical applications of waste minimization or waste-to-energy conversion techniques while comparing current performance with traditional approaches in terms of technological feasibility, ecological impact, and economic viability. The chapter also emphasizes the knowledge gap and future research directions by focusing on advanced manufacturing, sustainable energy, and science technology. It concludes by highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary research and strategic policy frameworks to accelerate the integration of plasma-based technologies. Bringing together scientific, technological, and policy perspectives, this chapter demonstrates how plasma approaches can significantly contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and broader environmental targets.
