Abstract

Although modern technology has made accessing mental health treatment simpler, but should still respect people's privacy even if the human beings utilize AI technologies for psychoanalysis or assistance with an identity crisis. AI applications must be utilized with sensitive personal data in order to have any chance of identifying cognitive, emotional, and behavioral qualities. This brings up issues with discrimination, abuse, and prejudice in algorithms. This chapter discusses the ethical and legal considerations that must be made in order to ensure the security of mental health data while using AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment technologies. It also examines if regulations in other nations and areas, such as GDPF in Europe and HIPPA in the US, might alter the procedures for handling psychological data. The obvious human rights to consent, mental integrity and freedom of body are also covered in this chapter.
