Abstract

This chapter explores the growing role of AI in education and how intelligent systems are changing the way we teach and learn. AI is opening up new ways to personalize learning, strengthen the connection between students and teachers, and support better learning outcomes. The focus here is on how technologies like machine learning, natural language processing, and adaptive learning tools are being used to improve the educational experience for both students and educators. By examining the pedagogical theories and practices in pedagogical settings for teaching and learning with respect to AI, this study discusses the potential opportunities and the challenges that inevitably take place when AI becomes intertwined with these. It provides a literature review, theoretical framework, and practical examples of intelligent agents' applications in classrooms and online learning platforms, including various perspectives. This chapter also covers ethical concerns such as bias in AI systems, data privacy threats, and how to address them.
