Abstract

This chapter develops a conceptual architecture for Human-AI Collaborative Intelligence and Hybrid Cognition in post-industrial learning ecosystems. Drawing on bounded rationality, distributed cognition, joint cognitive systems, and sociotechnical alignment, it shows how collaboration reliability depends on interaction loops, interface regimes, role ecologies, and audit-ready accountability. It maps sectoral task ecologies to modality stacks that build uncertainty articulation, provenance discipline, escalation competence, and recovery-from-error performance. A multilevel capability model aligns individual, team, organizational, and ecosystem strata with curriculum design, assessment validity, and integrity-by-design institutions, concluding with polycentric governance and metric families grounded in procedural justice, capability expansion, ethics of care, privacy, and contestability for globally portable praxis.
