Abstract

The fast adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in education necessitates a new leadership paradigm that goes beyond job efficiency and looks ahead. This research introduces anticipatory AI leadership, which uses strategic foresight and scenario planning to prepare schools and colleges for AI transformations. Leaders should plan ahead, examine alternate AI uses, and match educational policies and practices with long-term social goals rather than responding to technology developments. Educational leaders can use horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario building to create compelling plans to integrate new ideas fairly, inclusively, and morally. The chapter says that anticipatory AI leadership makes hybrid human-machine learning institutions more adaptive, reduces algorithmic decision risks, and builds stakeholder trust. This framework helps create future-ready education institutions that can handle uncertainty and help people reach their full potential in the digital age.
