Abstract

This chapter delves into how human augmentation reshapes creativity, drawing from Garry Kasparov's 1997 chess defeat by Deep Blue as a pivotal moment. He realized true strength arises when skilled minds pair with smart machines. Creativity, once viewed as a lone intuitive flame started blooming through partnership. Humans offer emotion, ethics, and purpose while AI started delivering speed, enormous memory, and pattern spotting. Bounded rationality confines us, as Simon and Kahneman noted, yet augmentation stretches those edges without deleting our gut instincts. Dispersed creativity shatters the introverted genius myth, fostering flow by facilitating frictions in “Ideation” and “Refinement”. The chapter examines the Asian contexts.
