Abstract

The fashion industry is undergoing a profound transformation driven by the rapid integration of digital technologies across management functions. This chapter explores how digital tools, such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, digital platforms, and smart supply chain systems, are reshaping fashion management practices, from design and production to marketing, distribution, and consumer engagement. It highlights the opportunities these technologies offer, including enhanced decision-making, improved operational efficiency, personalization, transparency, and sustainability. At the same time, the chapter critically examines key challenges associated with digital transformation in fashion management, such as data security risks, ethical concerns, skills gaps, organizational resistance, and the high costs of technological adoption. By synthesizing recent academic literature and industry insights, this chapter provides a balanced perspective on both the strategic potential and practical limitations of digitalization in fashion management.
