Abstract

This chapter explores how artificial intelligence (AI) and intercultural collaboration are transforming hybrid pedagogy into a globally connected and ethically grounded model of learning. Hybrid pedagogy has emerged to respond to digital disruption, and it has developed into a supportive framework, thereby integrating digital innovation with intercultural empathy. Hybrid education promotes key educational goals such as adaptability, inclusivity, and global citizenships, upon the incorporation of AI-powered individualization with intercultural knowledge. The chapter analyses historical tracks, theoretical backgrounds, and best practices across Asia and Europe, accentuating both opportunities and challenges in equalizing digitalization with human-centred education. It culminates that the integration of ethical AI and intercultural conversation can re-envisage hybrid education as a globally collaborative, inclusive, and equitable space bolstering Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 and SDG 17).
