Abstract

This chapter empirically intends to examine the vibrant and dynamic trajectory of Japan's economic development by focusing on the significant role played by export-led strategies implemented by Japan and subsequently look into the fact that how India might improve and further build and refine its own economic policies by Japan's successful strategies. The sole purpose of this study is to explore the trade-led growth path of Japan: how the country achieved the tremendous growth path by adapting several export-oriented policies, developing infrastructure, focusing on research & development and global integration through cultural exposure etc. This study also tries to highlight the fact that how trade can serve as a catalyst for the economic growth of a developing country and how India can be benefitted with a collaborative framework with Japan. This study highlights the role of cultural exchange to extend the geopolitical and strategic partnership among the two major global economic player India & Japan.
