Abstract

The complexity of cross-border logistics has grown, which has heightened the demand for sustainable supply chain management and data-driven management. Although the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology is commonly used to enhance efficiency in the operations of the company, its role with sustainability and governance has not been fully developed. This chapter suggests an AI-powered sustainable supply chain (AISS) model that integrates environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals in AI-based decision-making. Through the adoption of the theory of sustainability, systems thinking, and ethical AI governance, the framework gives a systematic solution to the responsible adoption of AI in sustainable cross-border logistics.
