Abstract

The revolutionary significance of adaptive intelligence in using AI-driven technology to personalize education is examined in this chapter. It illustrates how AI systems customize learning experiences to each learner's needs, pace, and preferences by examining the theoretical underpinnings and technology enablers, including machine learning, natural language processing, and learner analytics. The chapter highlights the changing role of educators and the pedagogical implications of adaptive systems while looking at real-world applications in K–12, higher education, and job training. Critical attention is paid to ethical issues pertaining to learner autonomy, algorithmic bias, and data privacy. Ultimately, the chapter calls for inclusive, transparent, and human-centered AI in education, balancing technical innovation with pedagogical integrity. In order to guarantee that AI enhances rather than replaces human learning connections, it ends by describing future directions for multidisciplinary research and policy development.
