Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic prompted the integration of digital technologies into teacher education, transforming supplementary practices into essential components of professional development. This chapter looks into how big technological changes, such as learning analytics, digital mentoring, AI-powered platforms, virtual simulations, and online professional communities, affect teacher education. The chapter emphasizes strategies for improving the capacity and resilience of teacher education, utilizing frameworks such as Transformative Learning Theory and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). Additionally, the chapter addresses possible future directions for teacher training, like using artificial intelligence, hybrid learning models, working with other countries, being environmentally friendly, and using moral approaches to digital teaching. The findings indicate that successful technology integration in teacher education necessitates systemic commitment, critical reflection, and an equity-focused methodology.
