Abstract

IoT is ubiquitous and brings in connectivity of devices, massive data collection and process automation to any sector. However, its rapid expansion brings significant challenges in standardization, device tracking, and integration. These challenges can be resolved by emphasizing standardization, utilizing unified platforms, and optimizing performance. Standardization is an important step to guarantee the security, interoperability, scalability, and the easy integration of devices from different manufacturers to communicate securely with each other. Unified platform makes device and system management simple, decreasing integration time and cost. This approach, the user experience is enhanced with instant visibility into data, scaling is addressed and innovation is driven with better resource utilization. Tracking and monitoring are optimized which makes more efficient and cost-effective and performance increasing through real time analytics and predictive maintenance. Advanced technologies like edge computing, ML, 5G can improve efficiency, real-time decision-making, and security.
