Abstract

Global challenges like generation of biomass waste has raised serious concern to waste management processes. Not only the waste needs to be managed judiciously but ensuing circular bioeconomy is a possible strategy for addressing these universal problems. It emphasizes nature driven processes that reutilizes existing reserve into useful materials. Whereas sustainability instigate reduce and recycle of waste to reduce carbon footprint and enhance self-reliant economy. Efficient waste conversion methods transform biodegradable carbonaceous wastes into clean energy using thermochemical processes. Anaerobic digestion, composting, biochar processes convert organic waste into value added product like biofuel, biofertilizers. Sustainable management practices, like spent mushroom waste or nature based solution can guarantee sustainability while valorizing wealth from waste. Biomass waste can be minimized through technological innovations to ensure sustainability and zero waste through circular economy models..
