Abstract

This chapter investigates how cloud-based Business Intelligence (BI) systems empower real-time data analytics to enhance organizational agility, decision accuracy, and operational responsiveness. Drawing on an extensive review of secondary data, the study examines the architectural evolution, strategic benefits, platform capabilities, and implementation challenges of cloud BI. The findings highlight the integration of AI, stream processing, and elastic infrastructures as key enablers of real-time analytics. While the benefits are substantial—ranging from improved forecasting to enhanced customer experience—issues of data governance, system integration, and cost monitoring remain significant. The chapter concludes with a discussion on future trends and offers actionable insights for organizations modernizing their BI environments as part of broader digital transformation efforts.
