Abstract

This chapter analyzes the function of digital twins in facilitating Cognitive Enterprise Architecture (CEA) to revolutionize organizational systems and improve decision intelligence. Although current research mostly focuses on the technical and engineering dimensions of digital twins, there is a paucity of attention about their incorporation into corporate architecture and cognitive decision-making frameworks. This chapter bridges the gap by establishing a conceptual connection among digital twins, cognitive capacities, and decision intelligence. It examines critical concerns such as integration complexity, data governance, cybersecurity, and organizational preparedness, and delineates scalable architectural and strategic solutions. This chapter theoretically enhances enterprise design perspectives by integrating cognitive digital twin capabilities, providing a basis for intelligent, adaptable, and data-driven organizational transformation.
