Abstract

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a debilitating neurodegenerative disorder that affects millions of people worldwide, causing a range of motor and non-motor symptoms. The accurate differentiation between PD and other forms of Parkinsonism is crucial for appropriate treatment, management, and patient care. However, clinical overlap among these conditions often leads to diagnostic challenges and potential misclassification. This chapter proposes an in-depth exploration of the utilization of Support Vector Machine (SVM) for enhancing the differentiation process. It will discuss the ethical considerations, potential benefits, challenges, and the impact of SVM-based diagnosis on patient care, diagnosis accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. By delving into these aspects, this chapter aims to contribute significantly to the advancement of Parkinson's disease diagnosis and management through the application of machine learning techniques.
