Abstract

Gestational Hypertension is a specific medical condition characterized by elevated blood pressure that arises during pregnancy, typically after the 20th week. Gestational Hypertension itself may not cause noticeable symptoms; if left untreated, it can lead to more serious conditions such as preeclampsia, which is characterized by high blood pressure and damage to other organs such as the liver and kidneys. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is crucial during prenatal care to detect Gestational Hypertension early. The advent of data mining and machine learning technologies has revolutionized healthcare by providing advanced technologies for early disease detection. The machine learning (ML)-based stacking classifier approach for gestational hypertension prediction, leveraging the strengths of diverse base models to enhance accuracy and robustness. The results of the study can also help healthcare providers develop personalized care plans for pregnant women and potentially prevent or mitigate the effects of Gestational Hypertension.
