Abstract

As the global population approaches 9.7 billion by 2050, sectors such as agriculture and water supply are facing unprecedented challenges. To address these pressures, enhancing resource resilience and sustainability is crucial. Technological innovations in AI and ICT offer a promising solution. Tools like Conserwater, SupPlant, Plantix, and advanced smart irrigation systems are revolutionizing how we manage resources. These technologies provide real-time monitoring and decision support, optimizing efficiency. By leveraging AI techniques such as machine learning and deep learning, integrated with GIS, smart meters, and mobile devices, we gain predictive insights that significantly improve nutrient and water management. This technological shift enables more sustainable agricultural practices, helping us use resources more effectively and meet the demands of a growing global population.
