Abstract

This study explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and speech recognition tools in vocational rehabilitation programs for students with developmental disabilities. The primary objective is to assess the effectiveness of these technologies in enhancing personalized learning, improving communication skills, and facilitating the transition from education to employment. The target groups include students with developmental disabilities, educators, employers, and policymakers. A mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, was used to evaluate the impact of AI-based assistive tools on skill development and workplace readiness. The findings indicate that AI-driven personalized learning enhances student engagement, while speech recognition technologies foster communication independence and accessibility in vocational training. The study underscores the necessity for interdisciplinary collaboration among educators, technologists, and policymakers to ensure equitable access to AI tools.
