Abstract

This study investigates how the digital economy empowers the upgrading of the low-altitude tourism industry, taking Anhui Province as a case. Integrating information systems and decision support theory, the research constructs a four-level empowerment framework covering IoT-based operations, data fusion for customer management, platform aggregation, and ecological collaboration. Using data from 12 enterprises, 8 projects, 500,000 orders, and 3,200 tourist surveys, the study applies multiple regression and structural equation modeling to assess digitalization effects. Results show that IoT technology reduced fault response time by 85.9% and increased airspace utilization by 27 points, while data fusion raised customer unit price by 109%. Platform integration also cut transaction costs by 30.6% and boosted cross-regional orders by 170%. These findings confirm that the digital economy significantly enhances operational efficiency, service innovation, and industrial collaboration, offering a replicable pathway for sustainable regional development.
