Abstract

This case study examines the use of virtual reality (VR) technology in sports dance teaching to address challenges such as uneven teacher quality, difficulties in standardizing movements, and insufficient development of core competencies. VR's immersive, interactive, and imaginative features offer innovative solutions by reconstructing teaching scenarios, improving movement accuracy, expanding teaching dimensions, and enabling personalized instruction and multiple forms of evaluation. The study shows that VR significantly enhances students' learning interest, movement accuracy, and artistic expression, although its effectiveness varies across different dance styles. Implementation challenges include high hardware costs, complex content development, adaptation to real-world contexts, and limited emotional guidance. This research provides valuable insights and practical guidance for advancing intelligent and personalized sports dance teaching models, highlighting the potential of VR in education.
