Abstract

Pulmonary mucormycosis is a rare but aggressive fungal infection that often mimics other pulmonary pathologies, such as tuberculosis, leading to diagnostic delays. We report a case of pulmonary mucormycosis in a patient initially misdiagnosed with tuberculosis, highlighting the diagnostic challenges, therapeutic decision-making, and the critical role of timely surgical and antifungal management in improving outcomes.
