Navigating to achieve our next goal

The Journal of the Association of Southern Urologists (JASU), having successfully completed two volumes across four editions, now enters its third year of publication. To quote Henry Ford, “Coming together is a beginning; staying together is progress; working together is success.” In this spirit, we look forward to continued collaboration with all members of the Urological Society of India—South Zone to enhance our collective research output. We remain committed to supporting our authors—especially trainees—by helping them refine and strengthen their manuscripts to produce high-quality scientific work. While language, structure, and flow can always be improved during the editorial process, we consistently emphasize that scientific integrity and data accuracy must never be compromised. To improve efficiency, we have streamlined our review workflow so that initial editorial decisions are communicated within 2 weeks of submission. Our editorial board has also been restructured, with each member encouraged to provide constructive and meaningful feedback. In this issue, we present prize-winning review articles from state-level conferences, along with original research and noteworthy case reports. For any journal to grow and gain wider recognition, achieving indexation is essential, and this remains our next major objective. A key requirement for indexation is the publication of at least 25 articles per year. We warmly encourage all association members to contribute their research to JASU so that we may collectively meet this milestone.
