Abstract

This dataset accompanies the forthcoming journal article, “Delineating the Hybridity of Robotic Artifacts: Pathways to More Thoughtful Design in HRI,” to be published in ACM Transactions on Human-Robot Interaction. The dataset consists of responses to 27 five-point Likert-scale items, which were combined to examine how robotic artifacts simultaneously evoke multiple perceptions and experiences. These measures highlight the multifaceted and hybrid nature of robotic artefacts, demonstrating that robots are not experienced in singular or uniform ways. This insight is critical for designers, as it underscores the importance of thoughtfully considering how robotic artifacts shape diverse user perceptions and interaction experiences.
