Data supporting the PhD thesis: Development Of A High Voltage Switch Using Series Connected Low Voltage Devices For Development Of Power Electronics Based Arbitrary Waveform Generator
Abstract
This dataset supports the PhD thesis titled:“Development Of A High Voltage Switch Using Series Connected Low Voltage Devices For Development Of Power Electronics Based Arbitrary Waveform Generator.”The dataset contains simulation models and embedded control code used in the design, validation, and experimental verification of a high-voltage switching topology constructed from series-connected low-voltage semiconductor devices. The work focuses on the development of a modular, high-speed, high-voltage switching architecture enabling arbitrary waveform generation through power-electronics-based switching techniques. The dataset includes: MATLAB/Simulink models developed in MATLAB R2024BResonance and impedance characterization simulationsHigh-frequency transformer and switching behavior modelsRise-time and coupling inductance investigationsControl-oriented switching-time analysisArduino control firmware (.ino files) used for experimental implementationThe simulation files allow reproduction of switching dynamics, resonance behavior, and impedance profiles across a range of operating frequencies (kHz to MHz). The embedded control code implements duty-cycle modulation, mutual-exclusive full-bridge switching, dead-time control, and maximum frequency testing used in hardware validation.Together, these files provide sufficient information to: Reproduce the switching topology behaviorAnalyze voltage sharing and high-frequency performanceValidate resonance and impedance characteristicsReplicate experimental switching control logicNo confidential or proprietary data is included. All files are provided in standard formats to ensure long-term accessibility and reuse. This dataset is intended to support transparency, reproducibility, and reuse of the methods and results presented in the associated doctoral thesis.
