Abstract

This archive contains the data underlying the figures in the following publication: Smook, L.A., Diepenbroek, E., and de Beer, S. (2026) "Asymmetric Bias Effects of Polyelectrolyte Brushes: A Systematic Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy Study" in Langmuir The goal of this research was to systematically evaluate the effect of applied bias and salt concentration on the electrical properties of polyelectrolyte brushes. The study comprises of experimental work with supporting physics analysis. In the manuscript, we have included and commented on the synthesis of polyelectrolyte brushes of SPMA and METAC monomers, and the subsequent electrical characterization using probe-free electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). This dataset provides the underlying data and overview files of the results presented in this manuscript. This includes raw and processed experimental data gathered with cyclic voltammetry (CV), Fourier transform infrared with attenuated total reflection (FTIR-ATR), ellipsometry and EIS. All data is provided in .xlsx format.
