Factors influencing long-distance travel by rail: A systematic review and meta-analysis. Supporting data and model files This package includes data files and R scripts related to the meta-analysis associated with the following paper: Moleman, M.L., Kroesen, M., Van Oort, N., & Cats, O. (2026). Factors influencing long-distance travel by rail: A systematic review and meta-analysis. More specifically, this package includes data on both own-price and own-time elasticities of rail demand. Complementary to these elasticities, data sheets include study characteristics used in the meta-regression as explanatory variables. Besides the two datasets, the script used to estimate the meta-regression model in R is included as well.
